About
Kessie is an accomplished musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 16 years’ experience working in sports and rehabilitation settings. She gained a First Class honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Southampton in 2007 and a MSc with distinction in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation from the University of Hertfordshire in 2012.
Kessie has experience working in both elite level sport as well as helping ‘weekend warriors’ in Private practice. Some of her career highlights include working as a Physiotherapist for the U19 England Women’s Football squad, U15 England Netball, GB bobsleigh, Team GB at the World University Games in 2007 and 2013, Arsenal Women’s FC, Hertfordshire Mavericks Superleague Netball and at the 2012 London Olympic games.
Kessie has a holistic approach to her treatment, aiming to help her patients to find strength and balance within their bodies. She loves treating people from all walks of life, but particularly enjoys helping people become more active, whether your goal is a brisk walk around the park or competing internationally. Kessie has a special interest in lower limb rehabilitation and running injuries. In addition, she has published research on the subject of joint hypermobility in elite sport.
Outside of work, Kessie does her best to stay fit around work and 2 young children. As a young athlete she competed in athletics and played football.
